Individually perfectly stitched together by our imperfections, we are enough. We are rough around the edges, unique…. enough. Sometimes we feel like the world revolves around us & that it should. Other times we hurt at the thought of why it doesn’t.
At times, we struggle with self-acceptance & other times with sense of belonging and at other times, we’re convinced that the curves—or lack there of, on our bodies could twist & knot others into loving us. Other times we doubt & shame ourselves for not being able to.
We often times play Tetris with our insecurities, constantly flipping & turning them with the hopes of hiding them under the foundation that’s our personalities. Praying & wishing that the next person that looks at us sees them as a part of us & not as an extension of who we are. We all struggle with being accepted, adorned & desired, by ourselves & by the world. We all struggle with extending love to ourselves from time to time.
But isn’t it ironical how we’re constantly comparing ourselves to another when they’re just as flawed? Isn’t it ironical that the acceptance, admiration & desire we seek is actually deeply rooted in the courage & bravery that we individually exhibit when we fearlessly brave each day?
Why aren’t you accepting, admiring & desiring yourself for being so resilient? For trying to love yourself a little bit more each day?
No one’s perfect, we’re all struggling with some—if not the same—insecurities. They exist because we need to fix how we see ourselves. Start understanding that there’s really no one who’s more you than you. Change the Lense that you see yourself through, there’s no one that possesses the power & beauty that you individually portray. You are enough, a million times over.
